Margarita Island hosts excellent places and peripheries that have maintained an intact ecosystem; they are only seasonally small-inhabited islands for fishermen of the area, in which you will be able to learn and master this beautiful sport.

The collaboration between Margarita Diver's, a highly professional team, and the fishermen allow enjoying a really exceptional environment with the authentic attention and hospitality of these lands.

Advanced and Basic Diving Courses

Discovery Scuba: An introductory course that will allow you to dive with all security, accompanied by a certified instructor. The course is dictated in one day and includes the theoretical introduction, two immersions and the equipment. When finished, you will be able to dive with one of our professional guides in the trips of their preference. This is only a general introduction, no certificates will be given at this time.

International Open Water & Jr. Open Water Diver: Basic and intensive course of 4 or 5 days, when finished, you will obtain a certificate valid worldwide (PADI). Besides the theory, material and practice, the course includes 5 immersions and the equipment. The certified course: OWD JUNIOR, is available for the youths between 12 and 15 years old.

Open Water Completion (Referral training):Conceived for those who have completed their OWD course of theoretical instruction and the classes of practice in the pool. You will be able to conclude the training with us. The best way to complete their training. The course includes 4 immersions and the equipment.

Review: Dedicated to those who have not practiced for some time. The course includes the instruction and 2 immersions accompanied by one of our professional guides. Equipment is not included. PADI Diving certificate bearing is mandatory.

Advanced Open Water Diver:Deepen your knowledge of submarine sailing, search and recover several things, the night immersion and the deep one are real blasts! The course includes the instruction, use of the advanced PADI manual and 5 immersions. Equipment is not included.

Diving Excusions

El Farallón: Half-day tour (2 immersions). A great white rock with several kinds of beautiful birds, located between Pampatar and Porlamar. We depart from Playa Moreno and the time of sailing is approximately 10 minutes. The visibility ranges from 2 to 10 meters deep and the maximum depth is 12 meters.
The plungers or divers can enjoy the variety of corals and the underwater fauna: barracudas, groupers, botutos (a typical specie), parrot fish and others. In the bottom, you can appreciate the statue of the Virgen de la Coromoto (Coromoto Virgin).
Price includes: boat, refreshments, dive Master (professional instructor) and equipment.

 Cubagua Shipwreck Dive:Full-day tour (2 immersions). In search of pearls, the Spaniards founded Nueva Cádiz the first urban establishment in South America around the year 1.500, in Cubagua. We offer a diving trip to explore a sunk ferry, with a visibility up to 10 meters deep, in a maximum depth of 12 meters.
Another diving place in Cubagua is its reef, that digs 22 meters deep, where we can observe, big browns, groupers, line fish, among others.

Price includes: boat, lunch, non-alcoholic drinks, dive master, and complete equipment.

Los Frailes: Los Frailes is a group of 8 uninhabited islands located 10 miles from Margarita, in the northwest coast. We embark toward Los Frailes from El Tirano beach, in a typical fisherman's boat called "peñero" with two motors, capacity for 20 people. The marine life is variable and the divers can observe barracudas, brown lobsters, angel fish, fish parrots, arrow crabs and several types of corals.

Snorkel equipment is included, so people can enjoy the corals from a minimum of 2 meters deep, the places visited are: Cominoto, Payape and La Pecha. Underwater visibility reaches as deep as 20 meters, the average is from 6 to 8 meters.
Our team will pick you up at your Hotel and will transfer you to El Tirano Beach (0.8 Kms. long), from there we will embark in a perfectly adapted boat, and after 45 minutes of sailing we will arrive to the Archipelago of Los Frailes. After disembarking in a small and solitary beach with coralline bottoms, we will accommodate you in the facilities of a fishermen small house, perfectly adapted for your stay in the Archipelago. The rich marine wildlife of the area will allow you to enjoy the tasting of some oysters and you will be able to dive or snorkel with your team. A delicious lunch is included in the trip.
