 Access Routes

From San Fernando de Apure:

  Take the national road to Mantecal/Elorza towns. After crossing the Mantecal town, you must turn to the left for taking the Elorza road, then past fifteen minutos you will find the entrance of the ranch. The journey approximately will take four hours. .

From Barinas:

Take the national road to Bruzual town. Crossing to the Apure`s river, then you will being at the Apure`s State. Once in Bruzual town turn to the left to take the Elorza road, then you will find the road to go El Mantecal, don´t take it. You must go straigth to Elorza town. Fifteen minutes later, you will find the entrance of the ranch. The journey approximately will take four hours and a half.

Lodging in Hato el Cedral

El Cedral offers 25 comfortable cabins with air conditioning, ceiling fans and private bathrooms.

Among the installations are a swimming pool and a pleasant dining room where Creole and international food is available. There are telephone and fax facilities.

Night entertainment ranges from wildlife video to the opportunity to participate in friendly scientific presentations or simply relax and enjoy the rhythm of a local "llanero" music group.

To fully enjoy your stay at the ranch, we suggest a minimum stay of at least 4 days and 3 nights.
